Dhaka University (DU) published the DU Admission Circular 2025-26. This is for the undergraduate program. The online application process starts soon.

The circular says the online application begins on October 29, 2025. It ends on November 16, 2025.

All admission tests are held in divisional cities. This is good news for students from all over Bangladesh. You can choose an exam center near you.

Admission Test Date

The DU General Admission Committee announced the test dates. The exams start on November 28, 2025.

The admission tests are held in all eight divisional cities. These are Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. This makes it easy for students. They do not need to travel to Dhaka for the exam.

Eligibility (Required GPA)

You must have a minimum GPA to apply for the DU admission test. The GPA rules are different for each unit.

Basic Requirements for all units:

• HSC Passing Year: Must be 2025.
• SSC Passing Year: Must be between 2020 and 2023.

Here are the unit-wise GPA requirements:

Science Unit:

• Your total GPA (SSC + HSC, with 4th subject) must be at least 8.00.
• Your individual GPA in SSC and HSC must be at least 3.50.

Arts, Law & Social Sciences Unit:

• Your total GPA (SSC + HSC, with 4th subject) must be at least 7.50.
• Your individual GPA in SSC and HSC must be at least 3.00.

Business Studies Unit:

• Your total GPA (SSC + HSC, with 4th subject) must be at least 7.50.
• Your individual GPA in SSC and HSC must be at least 3.00.

Fine Arts (Charukola) Unit:

• Your total GPA (SSC + HSC, with 4th subject) must be at least 6.50.
• Your individual GPA in SSC and HSC must be at least 3.00.

How to Apply

You must apply on the official DU admission website. The online application starts on October 29, 2025. The deadline to apply is November 16, 2025.

• Step 1: Go to the official Dhaka University admission website: admission.eis.du.ac.bd
• Step 2: Click on the “Login” button.
• Step 3: Log in using your HSC and SSC information (Roll, Board, Passing Year).
• Step 4: Fill the form. Add your personal details. Add your contact number. Choose your exam center.
• Step 5: Choose the unit (or units) you want to apply for.
• Step 6: Upload your photo and signature. Follow the size rules on the website.
• Step 7: After you submit the form, you get a “Pay Slip”.
• Step 8: Pay the Taka 1,050 application fee. Use mobile banking (like bKash, Rocket) or online banking.

Your application is complete after you pay the fee.

Admit Card Download

After the application time ends, DU will announce the admit card date. You can usually download the admit card 7 to 10 days before the exam date.

Procedure to download the admit card:

1. Go to the DU admission website (admission.eis.du.ac.bd).
2. Log in with your details.
3. Go to the dashboard for your applied unit.
4. You will see a link to “Download Admit Card”.
5. Click on it and save the PDF file.

You must print this admit card. A color print is best. Bring it to the exam hall.

Seat Plan

DU publishes the seat plan 1 or 2 days before the test. You will not know your exact center or room before this.

You can find your seat plan in two ways:

1. Online Method:

• Visit the admission website: admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
• Log in to your dashboard.
• The “Seat Plan” option will be available.
• You can see your building name, room number, and seat location.

2. SMS Method:

• The university also sends an SMS. This SMS has your seat plan details.
• It goes to the mobile number you gave during the application.

You must understand the test format. The marks distribution is also important. The Dhaka University Admission Test 2025-2026 is for 120 marks total.

• Admission Test (MCQ + Written): 100 Marks
• GPA Score: 20 Marks (Your SSC GPA x 2 + Your HSC GPA x 2)

Test Format (All Units except Fine Arts)

• Total Time: 90 minutes. This is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Negative Marking

Yes, there is negative marking. For each wrong MCQ answer, 0.25 marks are cut. Be careful if you are not sure of an answer.

Pass Mark

You must pass the MCQ and Written parts separately.

• MCQ Pass Mark: 24 (Example for Science Unit)
• Written Pass Mark: 12 (Example for Science Unit)
• Overall Pass Mark (Test): 40

If you get less than 24 in MCQ, DU will not check your written paper.

Admission Result

The DU Admission Result 2025-2026 is published after the exam. It takes a few weeks. The result is published on the official admission website.

How to check your result (Online):

1. Go to admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
2. Log in with your information.
3. Your dashboard shows your result (pass or fail). It also shows your merit position.

How to check your result (SMS):

You can also check your result via SMS. The format will be:

DU <Unit Keyword> <Admission Roll> and send it to 16321.

SIF and Subject choice

If you pass the test, you get a merit position. Then you must fill the Subject Choice Form. This is also called SIF (Student Information Form).

This is a very important step. You fill this form on the admission website.

You will see a list of subjects. You must rank these subjects. Put your most favorite subject at number 1. Put your least favorite at the end. (e.g., 1. CSE, 2. EEE, 3. Physics…).

You also need to fill in your personal information (SIF).

DU gives you a subject based on your merit rank and your choice list.

Subject Choice Result

After you submit the SIF, DU publishes the subject result. This is the first list.

Log in to the website. You can see the subject you got. If you get a subject, you must confirm your admission. You pay a small fee online to confirm.

Final Admission

After you get a subject, DU gives you a date. This date is for your final admission. You must go to your faculty or department. You must bring these documents:

• Original Marksheet of SSC and HSC
• Testimonial of SSC and HSC
• Admit Card of the admission test
• Printed Subject Choice Form
• Passport size photos

You must pay the admission fees. This completes your admission.

Migration Result

Migration is an automatic process. It is also called “Auto-migration”. This system is on if you do not get your first choice.

For example: You get your 5th choice subject. Later, a seat in your 3rd choice is free. You will automatically move to the 3rd choice.

This happens in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lists. You can stop auto-migration if you are happy with your subject.
