Eligibility (Required GPA)
You must have a minimum GPA to apply for the DU admission test. The GPA rules are different for each unit.
Basic Requirements for all units:
- HSC Passing Year: Must be 2025.
- SSC Passing Year: Must be between 2020 and 2023.

How to Apply
You must apply on the official DU admission website. The online application starts on October 29, 2025. The deadline to apply is November 16, 2025.
- Step 1: Go to the official Dhaka University admission website: admission.eis.du.ac.bd
- Step 2: Click on the “Login” button.
- Step 3: Log in using your HSC and SSC information (Roll, Board, Passing Year).

Admission Result

If you pass the test, you get a merit position. Then you must fill the Subject Choice Form. This is also called SIF (Student Information Form).
This is a very important step. You fill this form on the admission website.
You will see a list of subjects. You must rank these subjects. Put your most favorite subject at number 1. Put your least favorite at the end. (e.g., 1. CSE, 2. EEE, 3. Physics…).
You also need to fill in your personal information (SIF).
DU gives you a subject based on your merit rank and your choice list.
Subject Choice Result
After you submit the SIF, DU publishes the subject result. This is the first list.
Log in to the website. You can see the subject you got. If you get a subject, you must confirm your admission. You pay a small fee online to confirm.
Final Admission
After you get a subject, DU gives you a date. This date is for your final admission. You must go to your faculty or department. You must bring these documents:
- Original Marksheet of SSC and HSC
- Testimonial of SSC and HSC
- Admit Card of the admission test
- Printed Subject Choice Form
- Passport size photos
You must pay the admission fees. This completes your admission.
Migration Result
Migration is an automatic process. It is also called “Auto-migration”. This system is on if you do not get your first choice.
For example: You get your 5th choice subject. Later, a seat in your 3rd choice is free. You will automatically move to the 3rd choice.
This happens in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lists. You can stop auto-migration if you are happy with your subject.
